A house with a history.

Teatro Suites Málaga are three apartments that are part of a charming XIXth century building, located in the formerly named “Barrio Alto” (i.e “High Class Neighborhood”) in Málaga, where multiple palace houses were found at the time.

The Teatro Suites Málaga apartments have been refurbished respecting the furniture and original construction details like the floor tiles, carpentry and kitchen. They have been refurbished to preserve the special charm of the accommodation and at the same time provide all the modern amenities necessary for a memorable experience. The access to the building is direct from the street and exclusive for the three apartments. For improved security, in the common areas and access staircases there are properly signposted surveillance cameras.

The space.

The apartment Platea is found on the first floor and has a bedroom with a 150cm queen size bed. It counts with a two-seater sofa bed for an additional two guests in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The building is found in the heart of the Málaga city center, and is perfect for enjoying the traditional Semana Santa parades from its two balconies. In addition, we offer parking upon request.

Platea counts with a flatscreen TV in the living room and is equipped with A/C and heater. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, gas stoves, an electric boiler, washing machine, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, clothing iron and clothesline. The bathroom has a shower tray and is equipped with hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and hairdryer. The towels and bedsheets are also included.

We follow a strict covid protocol, providing a no-contact virtual check in and taking the utmost precaution in the cleaning of every single apartment and common areas. The washing of the bedsheets and towels is carried out by a specialized laundry service, applying active oxygen and other disinfectant products at 150ºC.

The home is really lovely and well-decorated with an interesting, long layout. The location is also great since it's close to many restaurants, bars, museums, and cultural sites like the Alcazaba, and the beach is in walking distance. Ana and Manuel are wonderful, helpful hosts who answer your questions whenever you have them. We didn't know how to turn on the AC at first, but they explained it to us quickly and clearly when we asked. They also provided extras like wine, tea bags, and coffee grinds in the kitchen and shampoo and shower gel in the shower, which were incredibly nice touches. We would stay here again if we return to Málaga. 🙂
